From the Depths of My Mind: Amber Harrison

Description

Since 2007, I've done a lot of role-playing and created a fairly extensive cast of characters. Some were meant to stick around, others were temporary, but all of them had at least a minor impact on my imagination. Still others have been lurking in my mind since the 1st grade. Here at last, you'll be getting a glimpse of my not-so-sane side.

First on the list is Amber Harrison. Kinda looks like an escapee from a cheesy horror film, right? You know, the kind where all the monsters look dark and dreary? An average person might look at her and say something like: "Is she meant to look like some kind of zombie?"

Nope. Gray skin and lackluster clothing notwithstanding, Amber is 100% human---and this isn't her true form, either. By default, Amber's a Black Maine Coon cat known to most simply as "Ambush". In an RP segment back in summer-fall 2007, Ambush transformed himself via magic into a female human in order to better fit in at a beach outing. While there her feline instincts got the better of her human mind, and she tried to catch a dart that was being shot by an insane plush toy.

Predictably, she missed due to the unfamiliar nature of her form---and got jabbed with a Love Potion that caused her to fixate on the next person she saw: the local lifeguard. After funny shenanigans ensued and the Potion wore off a while later, the two of them were engaged to be married. After some discussion with her would-be husband and some of her friends, Amber decided to keep her human self as a semi-permanent transformation and give her new situation a chance.

Think I'm strange yet? Oh-ho-ho-ho, no no no no no. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm just getting started. EVIL Laughter!
